ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
PrismNet's Acceptable Use Policy for PrismNet services is designed to help protect PrismNet, Ltd. and PrismNet, Ltd.’s customers and the Internet community in general from irresponsible and/or illegal activities.
PrismNet customers shall not permit, assist, or take part in abuse or fraudulent use of PrismNet services, including but not limited to the following:
- attempting to circumvent user authentication or security of any host, network, or account on PrismNet systems or the Internet at large ("cracking");
- attempting, in any way, to interfere with or deny service to any user or any host on the Internet;
- forging e-mail or USENET posting header information; this includes forging the return e-mail address header of said messages;
- sending large numbers of unsolicited mail messages (i.e. "junk mail"); this includes adding or attempting to add addresses to any mailing list without explicit positive consent of the addressee.
- Sending unsolicited USENET messages to one or multiple groups (i.e. "promotion of a web page");
- forwarding or posting "chain letters" (multiple forwarding) of any type;
- posting inappropriate messages to USENET newsgroups e.g., posting large numbers of unsolicited posts indiscriminately ("spamming"), or posting encoded binary files to USENET newsgroups not specifically named for that purpose;
- attempting to cancel, supersede, or otherwise interfere with e-mail or USENET posts other than one's own;
- engaging in harassment, whether through language, frequency, or size of messages;
- using an account at another provider to promote an PrismNet Web site in a abusive manner;
- using an PrismNet account or network connection to collect replies to messages sent from another provider which violate these rules or those of that provider;
- reselling PrismNet services to third parties who do not abide by these guidelines.
Each PrismNet customer is responsible for the activities of its customer base or end-users and, by accepting service from PrismNet, is agreeing to ensure that its customers abide by this Policy. Complaints about customers or end-users of a PrismNet customer can be forwarded to the PrismNet Administrators for action. If irresponsible or illegal activity continues, then PrismNet. Ltd reserves the right to terminate the customer's services and/or refer the case on for prosecution or any other action as PrismNet deems appropriate.
As stated in the terms and conditions for PrismNet services, PrismNet has the right to refuse or terminate an account of any customer or take other action as PrismNet deems appropriate without notice.
PrismNet reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time.
