Clothes: Close-fitting, black or gray pants of the softest of leathers. Silk, blousy, long-sleeved, loose shirts, lacing at the throat, and usually left open, in various shades-- cream, aqua, mint green, royal blue, gold, dove gray. Fancy tall black leather boots. Sometimes soft leather vests in various shades and patterns to match his shirts. Fancy gray leather riding jacket and gloves for patrols.

History: Tair'n was born in the warren. His parents, T'van and Miren, both dragonriders, were together a few short weeks before splitting. Throughout his childhood, Miren tried to use him to get T'van back. She took her bitterness at his father out on her only child, who resembled his father a great deal.

Tair'n had little male influence in his life, as men avoided him for fear of falling into Miren's clutches. When Tair'n was 12, T'van took a new mate, unjoined Calette, only 7 years older than Tair'n, and Miren withdrew.

When he was mid-15, Miren went on patrol alone, as her partner was ill, and never returned. No trace of her was ever found. T'van took his eldest son in. A year later, Calette and Tair'n moved out together. T'van was left with an infant son while his elder son dallied with his ex-mate.

T'van has never spoken to Tair'n or Calette since.

Shortly afterward, Tair'n joined to Amadith. He and Calette stayed together for five more months until their differences, him being joined and her not, became too great.

He spent the next few years dallying, exploring relationships with both men and women, never keeping a lover for very long.

Despite the mess of his personal life, his strategic and tactical skills were well-noted and he slowly gained status within various wings.

About a year ago, rumors began circulating that the Alpha Wingleader was retiring soon. Tair'n's name often came up as a possible replacement, but there were other names as well.

Eight months ago, Amadith won the Warrenlady Velara's Jennaladar in a mating flight. Waking up next to the well-preserved Queenrider, Tair'n was inspired.

Shortly after that flight, he moved in with Velara and her lover R'ven, forming a triad.

When the Alpha Wingleader did retire, Tair'n was named almost at once. There has been some speculation and accusation that Tair'n took up with the Warrenlady to get the upper hand on his competition for the position and everyone expected him to split with Velara and R'ven soon afterward.

It's been nearly six months and he hasn't yet.
