She's funny and loves to tease. On the flip side, she's very loyal to the people she respects and considers to be friends. She's open and honest and will tell it like it is... as nicely as she can. She hates to see people get picked on or pushed around and will use humor to defuse a situation if she can or her fist if she can't. Has been trained to fight hand to hand and with a sword and knives. Better than average with both.   She also has one secret that she's had to keep to herself until she could find out the truth. One day she hopes to be able to tell the one woman who would be affected most by the truth next to herself. Until then she'll do her job the best way she knows how and hopes things will work out.     History: Raised up in the city of Seign,  as the daughter of an inn keeper and his wife. Shae had a happy childhood with a mother, father and two brothers. One older one younger than herself, who she followed around all the time and tried to keep up with. When she was thirteen her mother died of a fever and only the loving support of her family helped her deal with it. If "Da" seemed to give her extra attention; her brothers never minded.   Just before her twentieth birthday, her Da came down with a sickness that the healer's could do nothing about. Jenko sent word that he needed to talk to his daughter alone. "I've a secret to tell you girl. I promised your mama I would if anything happened."   It was them she found out the man she had always called Da-- wasn't her real father, though he had loved and raised her as his own. Her mother had showed up at his father's inn one day with a brand new baby girl looking for work. The two had fallen in love and were joined. He loved the baby girl as his own.   "Your real father had been a carpenter and had died in a cave just after you were born." ..... "Who was my real father?" Shae asked.   His name had been Cheelor, and he had come from Keldarra Warren. As a boy he had thought to join with a dragon; but it wasn't to be. So knowing he didn't want to stay around and be pitied by his family, Chee left the Warren, against the arguments of his older brother, a dragonrider and never went back. Jenko told Shae that she might still have family there.   So she has come to Keldarra Warren to find out about her father and his family. The day she arrives there's a hatching. While watching the going's on from near the entrance, someone mistaking her for a candidate pushes her out onto the sands where she unwittingly joins with the fireball red hatchling Kaaren.   From there her search began. Only the ends don't always come out the way we might want them.........   Things didn’t go as well for her at Keldarra as she would have hoped. She found her family, but circumstances dealing with accusations of theft stopped her from going to them and telling them who she was.   Things had been happening around the Warren with several of the Landbound Riders being harassed and several people swore that they saw Shae near the places that things had happened. Then she came home one day to find quite a bit of things piled in her living room floor. Things that someone else had stole and left there for her and others to find. To make her look even more guilty then some thought she was.   Shae tried to take back as many of the things as she could find owners for, but one day while trying to get up the nerve to ask M’ressan, one of Keldarra’s Wingleaders and the mate of the Dragonlady, if he might know who owned a certain object.. she dropped it and before she could pick it up the Dragonlady beat her to it and almost came right out and accused her of stealing it. She had tried to explain, but the woman was to angry to listen at the time and said they would talk later.   Later when the word got out, she nearly lost the man she’d come to love. Someone who had trusted her and was trying to help prove her innocence. They worked it out and that night Shae stayed with him, but had been on her way home for a few things when she noticed men and dragons up inside her apartment.They had found the rest of the stuff she hadn’t been able to return yet.. and were looking for her.   Fearing for her life and that of her dragons, Shae made her way back to her families home where she met a dragonrider who helped her get away and brought her to Jasra where she’s now hiding out until she can find some way to prove her innocence back in Keldarra. Also to return to the man she has come to love.     Dragon: Kaaren. Loves to tease her rider, supportive and levelheaded. Will do anything to help Shae. a flirt who love to cuddle. (but what dragon doesn't :) A gossip, except when it comes to her rider's secret. Will be a good and able fighter when of age.          Family: Mother      : Chealy (decesed) Step Father : Jenko (decesed) Step-brother: Kende  25. 6'4"  brown hair, deep blue eyes and a pleasent smile and warm personality. He took over the family inn when his father died. Very protective of his siblings. Knows a good many people who don't always like their visits to be talked about.   Half brother: Jono 19 6'2' Deep blue eyes, Rangey. Looks like he could use some filling out, but don't let it fool you. The younger half brother of Shae who cameto Keldarra to find out what could be done about clearing his sister's name... and stayed when he joined with the black hatchling Nightraider. He will take being a dragonrider very seriously. A very responsible person. Never gives a promise unless he knows he can keep it.   Dragon: Nightraider   Black. Not overly big... or small.. Will keep his rider honest in his dealings and become a very good fighter.   Real father : Cheelor (deceasd) Family comes from Keldarra Warren.
