• Extremely easy to set up and maintain.
• Many ISP's provide a list server as part of the monthly fee.
• Commercial services like eGroups provide list servers at little or no cost.
• All you need to know to get started:
• Closed or open?
• Public or private?
• Discussion or newsletter?
• Moderated or free discussion?
• List of e-mail addresses (optional) for initial members.
• Some list servers (including eGroups) provide additional features like a file storage area, a chat feature, running polls, a group calendar (with reminders), etc.
