Underwater SUBMARINE! Explore Oceans! [GIFT!] Item # 3127533862 Current Starting bid US $6,000.00 bid US $6,000.00 Quantity 1 # of bids 0 Bid history Time left 4 days, 2 hours + Location Quebec Country Canada Started Apr-15-03 17:00:00 PDT Ends Apr-25-03 17:00:00 PDT SUBMARINE! This is an R.O.V (Remote Operated Vehicle) for underwater use. It is made of durable thick, light aluminum. Aluminum was used in the design because of it being a very light but strong metal, whereas steel is very heavy. It is not painted. The walls are 1 1/4 inch thick to resist high amounts of pressure and is waterproof. This is not intended for you to ride. If you choose to ride on this, then you do so at your own risk. It has an electric motor of 30 force with 3 speeds. There are 3 motors that propel it, 2 for forward and one for up and down to increase or decrease depth. It can go left, right, forward and reverse. This is only for viewing underwater and is currently not designed to pick up or interact with objects underwater. If desired, you can add an arm to excavate. It must be in at least 4 feet of water in order to run and the maximum depth is 600 feet deep. It can take up to 800 pounds of water pressure. There are 2 cameras outside, which will show what it sees onto the monitor (there are no display devices in this auction). It has plenty of lighting from 10+ headlights. It is controlled from above ground with a joystick / joy pad like controller while viewing what the sub sees on a TV / monitor screen. This was not a kit, it was built from my own design. This took me 3 years to build. I have much experience building such things. It's a hobby. I make things then sell them to fund my next project. Everything on this ROV is in perfect condition. * weight: 200 pounds * width: 32 inches approx (2.7 ft) * height: 30 inches (2.5 ft) * length: 63 inches (5.25 ft) This would be great for someone who is interested in exploring bodies of water, whether large or small. You could even hook up a video recorder to record what the sub sees in the water. Removing the ROV from the water could require 2 men (eventually you'll probably be able to do it alone). You simply back a trailer into the water and pull the ROV onto the trailer. This does not come with a trailer. I will ship it to anywhere in the world. Buyer pays actual shipping charges. I won't charge a dime more. I will also allow for pickup. This is my first auction, and I accept Paypal, Money Order, Check, or Cash. It doesn't matter to me. Pay however you wish. I will have it also insured if you wish too. If you wish to know more information, please contact me at: gps1@globetrotter.net I will answer any questions you have about the item.
