[Home] We encourage all TAM members to take an active role in creating a conference
that meets their needs by submitting session proposals. Not every session
has to present solutions for problems and issues. Sessions should open
discussion, raise new ideas and issues, and spark imagination. Session
ideas do not necessarily have to relate to the meeting theme. Good ideas
and inspiration will last a long time and find many applications. Fill
out the proposal form and send it to us. We value your contribution. Texas Association

A PLACE TO DISCOVER. The theme for the 2011 TAM Annual
Meeting contains multiple layers of meaning. A museum is a
place to discover—to discover
new ideas, to discover stories of our heritage,
to discover the beauty in art. For TAM members
who work in a museum, it is a place to discover
new audiences, to discover innovative ways to
interpret our collections, to discover creative
thinking in many areas. The 2011 Annual Meeting will convene for the first
time in Irving, a place to discover a vibrant
arts and cultural community. For TAM members, the Annual Meeting is a
place to discover new approaches to museum challenges, to
discover technological efficiencies to improve the ways we work, to discover
shared interests with colleagues. Don't miss 2011 TAM Annual Meeting in
Irving—A PLACE TO DISCOVER. Submit your
proposal today! TAM needs your help to fill the 2011 annual meeting program with rich
and relevant topics. Tell us what you would like to see next year! Sessions
should open discussion, raise new ideas, debate issues, and spark imagination.
(Proposals do not necessarily have to relate to the meeting theme.) Proposals
will require a working title, description of content or issues to be addressed,
a suggested target audience (newcomers, trustees, museum administrators,
etc.), and style of session. You may suggest speakers but it is not required.
Don’t let a good idea go just because you don’t know whom
to suggest as a speaker! Share your ideas with TAM. Website ©2003, Texas Association of Museums. Please let us know how we can better serve your needs! admin@texasmuseums.org
