BASIC BABY
program screens, examples:

BASIC BABY (BBII) allows the accumulation, analysis, and archiving of sonographic fetal measurements. The following are examples of BBII running under Windows 95 on a Pentium 200 (BBII will run on any DOS/Windows machine). BBII will print this same format to any standard printer. See the bottom of this page for ordering information. See DuBose TJ, FETAL SONOGRAPHY, W. B. Saunders Co. 1996 for a complete discussion of all the measurements and calculations used by BBII. These screens were acquired using a commerical screen capture program (HiJaac Pro™).

The first 4 screens are for this first case at 23.7 gestational weeks.

The following two screens are the BBII database/spreadsheet area and legend for the above case. This case was recalled from archives, and three new BPD measurements were entered so as to yield the original 56.4 mm measurement in order to demonstrate the calculation of measurement means and average deviations.

The following three BBII reports are for 8, and 38 week gestations, respectively. We found (in 10,000 cases) that the 95% variation in parameter Age Range Analysis (ARA) is less than +/-10% (20%) of the age. So this 8.4 embryo is well within normal proportions with a RANGE of 0.5 weeks, while the 2SD would be +/-10% = 0.84 weeks.

Note that BBII screen colors are customizable as you please.

This 38.1 week fetus is also within normal proportions with a range of 4.8 weeks (the 2SD at 38 weeks is +/-3.8 = 7.6 weeks range); however it is obvious that the fetus will be at about –1SD for length because both the femur (F) and humerous (H) lengths fall in that area of the distribution.
