The Diagnostic Medical Sonography at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock is now accepting applicants. The program started its first DMS class in August, 1996. I have considerable experience in administration, personal computers, statistics, InterNet, all kinds of imaging, and some Unix & VAX VMS. My Bachelor's Degree is in Business Administration. I will complete my Master's Degree in Health Research (Minor: Geographic Information Systems, GIS) at Southwest Texas State University (San Marcos, Texas) in the Spring 1995.
As TexUS I provide contract Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound) to hospitals and private clinics or physicians and their patients.
I have 20 years experience in Sonography. My special interest is fetal sonography and I am registered in Obstetrics & Gynecology, general Abdominal, Physics, and have experience with vascular and Doppler.
I edited and wrote 75% of the textbook, FETAL SONOGRAPHY, for W. B. Saunders Co., Philadelphia, which is now available (ISBN 0-7216-5432-0).
As the founding Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director at Austin Community College, I directed and taught in the ACC-DMS program from 1989 until 1994 (accredited by JRC-DMS). I also initiated the first out-patient diagnostic sonography laboratory in Austin where I was Senior Sonographer for 14 years.
