A lot of factors come into play when trying to establish the worth of a vintage radio. Things that have to be considered include cosmetics (especially of the front panel), modifications, electrical/mechanical condition, usability on today's hambands, rarity, accessories and buyer/personal taste.
The easiest way to put a dollar value to all of this is to look on ebay. Go here to view recently completed ebay auctions that included National radios. Look for receivers like yours that have recently sold.
- ebay prices for vintage tube gear are about twice what you might expect if you try to sell your radio locally.
- many pieces of National gear are a challenge to describe accurately and to pack for shipping without damage.
