Possibilities for Report Projects

Guizmag.com (http://www.gizmag.com/) is an interesting daily collection of science, technology, and medical articles. I have been saving them for 4 or 5 years (https://www.prismnet.com/~hcexres/beer4/gizmag_notes.html). Listed here are several categories of interest to me, which I hope will give you some ideas for the final report.

Technologies for underdeveloped countries

https://www.prismnet.com/~hcexres/beer4/gizmag_notes.html#underdevx

These include things like simple, inexpensive devices to purify water, to provide electricity, to enable shelter contruction with local materials, and more. Maybe you can imagine a United Nations agency commissioning you to do a bit of research and write a report on 2 or 3 of these devices. Maybe a nonprofit agency is looking to promote some these devices and commissions you to research and write.

Small inexpensive houses using green architecture

https://www.prismnet.com/~hcexres/beer4/gizmag_notes.html#littlegreen

Imagine that WWOOF (http://wwoofinternational.org/) wants to know more about small inexpensive houses using green architecture that they can build for their clients. A report would research and describe 3 or 4 of these which would give WOOFERS and their clients a detailed overview of structures to choose from.

Technologies for urban farming

https://www.prismnet.com/~hcexres/beer4/gizmag_notes.html#urbanx

Imagine a national chain gardening store is interested in featuring 3 or 4 of these technologies, offering kits for sales in its stores, and signing up contractors to help in the comnstruction of these things if needed. Research and prepare a report that provides a descriptive overview of these items.
